Visitors are welcome to attend general meetings & club runs.
Don't feel like you are intruding.   Come and get to know us.
General meetings –
Where – Mile End Hotel, 30 Henley Beach Road (except as noted below).
When – 7:30pm on the first Wednesday each month (except as noted below).
Several members arrive from 6 pm, and enjoy an informal evening meal together in the dining room.
Exceptions: January (no meeting), August (elsewhere for the AGM), December (elsewhere with lunch).

The main Club runs are usually held on Sunday mornings, but please check carefully.
Our organisers invest considerable effort in planning.  Please reward them with your presence.
Most months, there will also be a mid-week run (for those who are not busy at work).  Queries to Russell on 8356 5719.

E-mail queries about these events to the Social Events Officer  , who has entry forms for all events requiring them.  All other queries about the club (e.g. membership) to the Secretary:  –  please refer to Contacts page.

To be covered by the club's Public Liability Insurance, all participants must sign the Club Run Form before each club run.

Wednesday August 4  –  Annual General Meeting & Dinner at Braggs on East (Public Schools Club)
Sandford House, 207 East Terrace (cnr Carrington Street), Adelaide.  Adult prices: members $20, non-members $30.
To facilitate catering, you must pay our Treasurer before the day.  Pre-dinner drinks from 6:30pm.
Dinner and monthly general meeting start at 7:00pm, followed by the AGM.

Sunday 15 August  –  Racing Day at Mallala  –  organised by Austin 7 Club of SA
Celebrating 50 years of motor racing by the Austin 7 Club.  Free admission to all spectators.  Pre-1960 cars can be invited to join the lunchtime parade.  Track events are expected to start around 9:30 am.  Meet M.A.P.S. members again.  Bring your Aerogard, lunch, chair etc.  Meet at 9:30 am in City Dismantlers car park, Port Wakefield Road, Gepps Cross for 10:00 departure.  Our run organiser: Denis M.

Wednesday September 1  –  Old Car Day (midweek run) to Bethany Reserve
Annual gathering organised by Gawler Veteran Vintage & Classic Vehicle Club as a part of “Drive It Day.”
The first day of Spring, September 1st is promoted by the Federation of Historic Motor Vehicles SA as “Drive It Day” in SA.  You are encouraged to take your historic vehicles out so that the public can see them.  Take them to work, take them shopping, go for a drive, or come on one of our runs.  It is all very informal.  BYO lunch.  Toilets and a large shelter are available, but it is suggested that you bring chairs.  Last year there were over 100 cars, cycles and commercials, and it was a great opportunity to mix informally and share our hobby.  Meet at 9:30 am in City Dismantlers car park, Port Wakefield Road, Gepps Cross for 10:00 departure.  Our run organiser: Denis M.

Travel the route of a Tour Down Under leg or 2.  Details later.

Sunday September 26  –  Bay to Birdwood Run (not a club event)
For vehicles made on or before 31 December 1955.

Wednesday October 6  –  General Meeting at the Mile End Hotel

Sunday October 24  –  Bill & Lorna Waite Memorial Run
Meet at the Burnside Council car park (Fisher Street, Tusmore), 4pm for 4:30 departure.  Finish with a smorgasbord evening meal at the Old Mill restaurant in Hahndorf.  Return home around sunset.

Wednesday November 3  –  General Meeting at the Mile End Hotel

Sunday November 7  –  Combined Rootes Clubs Event  –  organised by Humber Car Club

Sunday December 5  –  Christmas Meeting and Lunch
Picnic style lunch in Oaklands Reserve at the rear of the Driver Development Centre, Oaklands Park.  Enter “The Parade West” from Oaklands Road, opposite Hendrie Street.  Go straight ahead to the car park at the end of the street.
General meeting commences at 11:30 am, so please arrive by 11:15.

BYO chairs, drinks, cups, sunscreen & hat.  All food, paper plates & plastic cutlery will be provided.

Wednesday January 26  –  Static Car Display at Carisbrook Park
Our involvement is still to be discussed.
Sunbeam Car Owners Club invites us to join in their car display (9 am to 3 pm) at the Salisbury Rotary Australia Day Picnic.  Free entry and free cooked breakfast.  Further details later.

April 6-9 (Easter)  –  11th Hillman National Rally in South Australia
Organised by Hillman Car Club of South Australia.  Rally headquarters and the main accommodation will be the Renmark Hotel, in the Riverland region of S.A.
