Friday March 5  –  Rootes Group night at the Sporting Car Club  –  by special invitation
Jason Rowley, an Imp racer and SCC committee member, has issued this invitation to our club members :
Dear fellow Rootes enthusiast !
On behalf of the Sporting Car Club, Classic Section committee, I extend a cordial invitation to your club members to the next SCC Classic meeting on Friday March 5th, from 7:30 pm.  The theme for this meeting is a 'Rootes Group' night and we aim to have at least three fine (and varied) examples of post-'48 Rootes products on stage, with the owners also providing a short talk and question time on the vehicles.
We are all enthusiasts of fine Classic vehicles & hence this is a great opportunity to share common interests and experiences.
The Sporting Car Club premises are at 51 King William Rd, Hyde Park (about 400m south of Greenhill Rd).  Clubrooms and Bar will be open from 6pm, and the extensive motoring library (one of the best in Southern hemisphere) opens for viewing around 7pm.  Entry is free of course and there will be a light supper provided.  We certainly hope to see many of you there.
