Wednesday July 16 – Mid-Week Run to McLaren Vale – organised by Brian G
| Meet at the weighbridge on Main South Road, Happy Valley (just past Black Road).
Arrive at 10:00 am for a for 10:15 departure.
Pit stop at the community hall in Main Road, McLaren Vale, then visit the
chocolate factory next door. Visit "Olive Grove" plantation, then Tinlin's
Winery. Lunch at McLaren Vale RSL.

Sunday July 27 – Northern Meander – organised by Helen & Brenton Soteriou
| Meet 10:00 am for 10:30 departure, at Stratco Big Shed car park,
59 Port Wakefield Road (cnr Cavan Road), Gepps Cross.
Helen & Brenton will provide food for morning tea at the first stop; bring your own thermos. Run will finish with lunch. Either BYO picnic or lunch is available at a bakery nearby. |
Wednesday August 6 – Dinner and Annual General Meeting at the Lockleys Hotel
| 493 Henley Beach Road, Fulham. Adult prices: members $25, non-members $35.
To facilitate catering, you must book by the July meeting. Pre-dinner drinks from 6:30pm. Dinner and monthly general meeting start at 7:00pm, followed by the AGM. |
Sunday August 10 – Run to St. Kilda Tramway Museum – organised by Colin Cronk
| Meet at the Victor Richardson Gates, Adelaide Oval at 10:30 am for an 11:00 am departure. Lunch at the St. Kilda Hotel around noon. Tramway museum is open 1pm to 5pm. Group concession entry $7.00 – covers unlimited tram rides on the 2 km track. Other optional activities – St Kilda Adventure Playground (free entry), Mangrove Trail (2 km boardwalk, has an entry fee), Marina. |
Fri.-Sun. August 29-31 – Pétanque Challenge at Mount Gambier
| Rootes Group Car Club of Victoria have challenged us to another game of pétanque.
In June 2005, RGCC won the inaugural trophy in a nail-biter. Now we require competitors
to bring the trophy home where it belongs.
It is to be held at the Kalganyi Holiday Park, Mt. Gambier (http://www.kalganyi.com.au). Book your own accommodation for arrival on the Friday, but please also let Peter Tavener know about your intent by 1st August. Meet Friday pm for drinks and a face-off against the Big V. Dinner and drinks are byo or take away or whatever you wish to do. Saturday morning will involve a tour around the Mt. Gambier shopping precinct and the lakes at your own leisure. Saturday afternoon, the "challenge is on!!" Pétanque in the Kalganyi Holiday Park, in the traditional car club style of pétanque including any obstacles in the area. Saturday evening is byo BBQ in the camp kitchen where the trophy will be presented to us (as the winners). Sunday morning we pack up and bring the trophy home. | Organised by the Sunbeam Car Owners Club of SA.
Optionally start with the Strathalbyn Swap Meet at Strathalbyn Harness Racing Club, 28 Milnes Road from 7 am
(click here for map).
Arrive at Strathalbyn Showgrounds by 11:00 am. Free BBQ lunch provided by the Sunbeam Club.
BYO drinks & chairs. Complete facilities available (hall, toilets,
kitchen etc.). Enter from Coronation Road
(click here for map) and park you car with others of similar colour.
To facilitate lunch catering, please notify Brian V of your intention to attend by 1st October. |

Sunday January 25 – Twilight Run – organised by Fraser and Tamara Ludlow.
| Meet at the Burnside Council car park (Fisher Street, Tusmore), 4pm for 4:30 departure. Always a popular run, finishing with a smorgasbord evening meal at the Old Mill restaurant in Hahndorf. |
