Hi all, I have found a new source for some Rootes parts.  John Harris (who trades as Rootes Rochedale) is located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.  To me he is a mine of information, he supplied and fitted a water pump kit for my Series III, and he was able to supply all the alloy castings (new) associated with the cooling system on the front of the engine. He has these cast locally, machines them himself and supplies around the world. He says he has them for most Rootes engines.
He can supply gaskets and gasket sets, many smaller parts and some NOS.  For locals he can service your Rootes vehicles.  He has some reclaimed trim and body parts. He has an early Rapier sedan (his pride and joy) and a Husky which he claims has done over a million kilometers.

These castings, particularly thermostat housings would be of interest to all of us far-flung and scattered folks (and I use the latter adjective carefully) as being light, the postage wouldn't cost more than the contents, as in some cases.

"New" is perhaps not the word I'd use.  Rootes Rochedale has been going since the 1960s!  :–)

I think most of the Hillmans still on the road in southeast Queensland must owe their lives to John.
