It has a 3 cylinder engine made by Tilling Stevens – hence the model name "TS3."
A two-stroke diesel with direct injection, there are 3 horizontal cylinders, each containing 2 pistons that are
opposed to each other. The Roots (not Rootes) blower fitted to the front of the engine supplies air to
the cylinders under pressure.
