A product of precision engineering and skill, the highly efficient Hillman 1,592 c.c., O.H.V. engine of modern short-stroke design is specially designed to give livelier performance with reliability and economy.  Developing 56.5 b.h.p. at 4,100 r.p.m., the "1600" engine gives vivid acceleration and a high touring speed.  Larger valves, new pistons and larger crankshaft provide smooth running and ensure a longer engine life.  The new "1600" engine is cushion mounted to absorb noise and vibration and combines with the improved synchromesh gearbox to give effortless motoring at all speeds.
